Porcelain fused to
metal remains one of dentistry’s primary restorative
methods to create crowns and bridges.
There are metal frames called shells (the base metallic casting
substance), which fits over the tooth.
Then, veneering porcelain is fused over this metal in a high
heat oven, which creates a white tooth-like appearance.
